SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Attempt to poison; waterworks; penalty. Provides that any person who administers or attempts to administer any poison or destructive substance in a waterworks with the intent to kill or injure another person is guilty of a Class 3 felony.
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Tampering with a waterworks; penalty. Creates the crime of tampering with a waterworks. The bill states that any person who tampers with a waterworks is guilty of a Class 3 felony or who unlawfully does so is guilty of a Class 6 felony.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Tampering with a waterworks; penalty. Creates the crime of tampering with a waterworks. The bill states that any person who tampers with a waterworks is guilty of a Class 3 felony. If the tampering results in death the person is guilty of a Class 2 felony. Threatening to tamper with a waterworks or attempting to tamper with a waterworks is punishable as a Class 4 felony.
