SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Possession of certain weapons on school property; expulsion. Requires a school board to expel from school for at least one year a student who possesses certain weapons on school property or at a school-sponsored activity. Current law relates to "bringing" weapons to school.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Possession of certain weapons on school property; expulsion. Requires a school board to expel from school for at least one year a student who possesses certain weapons on school property or at a school-sponsored activity. This change is in addition to the current requirement that a student be expelled for bringing such a weapon onto school property or to a school-sponsored activity.
