SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE: (all summaries)
Information to be provided by the Board of Medicine to individuals filing complaints against physicians. Requires that whenever an individual files a written complaint against a person licensed, certified, or registered by a health regulatory board and the board has concluded that a disciplinary proceeding will not be instituted, the board may send the person an advisory letter. The board may also inform the individual that (i) an investigation has been conducted, (ii) the matter was concluded without a disciplinary proceeding, and (iii), if appropriate, an advisory letter from the board has been communicated to the person who was the subject of the complaint or report. In providing such information, the board shall inform the source of the complaint or report that he is subject to confidentiality and discovery requirements.
