SUMMARY AS ENACTED WITH GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATION:
Crimes; peeping, conviction of third offense; penalty. Adds peeping or spying into a dwelling to a list of sexually-related misdemeanor offenses where a third offense within a ten-year period is a felony. The bill also requires that any person who commits such a felony violation on or after July 1, 2006, must register with the Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Crimes; conviction of third offense peeping; penalty. Makes it a Class 6 felony for a third or subsequent conviction for an offense under the peeping or spying section. The bill also requires that any person convicted within 10 years of three or more designated misdemeanors shall register under the Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry.
