SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation; Board for Contractors; issuance of license. Requires the Board for Contractors to promulgate regulations for educational requirements as a condition for licensure. Under the bill, the regulations shall include the requirement that the designated employee or responsible management personnel of the applicants who are contractors or tradesmen successfully complete an approved basic business course, not to exceed eight hours of classroom instruction. The bill also requires the Board to promulgate emergency regulations to implement these education requirements.
