S.B. 326 Alcoholic beverage; sale of tastings of wine or beer.

Alcoholic beverage control; retail on-premises wine or beer licensees; sale of tastings of wine or beer. Authorizes any retail on-premises wine or beer licensee, his agent or employee to offer for sale or sell to any person to whom alcoholic beverages may be lawfully sold tastings of wine or beer conducted in accordance with § 4.1- 221.1 for one price.

A BILL to amend and reenact § 4.1-201 of the Code of Virginia, relating to retail on-premises wine or beer licensees; sale of tastings of wine or beer.

S.B. 327 Alcoholic beverage; mixed beverage restaurant licenses.

Alcoholic beverage control; mixed beverage restaurant licenses. Provides that "other designated areas" where a mixed beverage restaurant licensee may sell and serve mixed beverages includes outdoor dining areas, whether or not contiguous to the licensed premises, provided such areas are under the control of the licensee and approved by the Board. Currently other designated areas must be on the premises of the restaurant.

S.B. 328 Alcoholic beverages; gift of samples by licensees.

Alcoholic beverage control; gift of samples by licensees. Authorizes any retail on-premises wine or beer licensee, his agent or employee, to give a sample of wine or beer, not to exceed two ounces, to persons to whom alcoholic beverages may be lawfully sold for on-premises consumption, or any mixed beverage licensee, his agent or employee, to give a sample of (i) wine or beer, not to exceed two ounces or (ii) spirits not to exceed one-half ounce, to persons to whom alcoholic beverages may be lawfully sold for on-premises consumption provided that no more than two products shall be given.

A BILL to amend and reenact §§ 4.1-201, 4.1-325, and 4.1-325.2 of the Code of Virginia, relating to alcoholic beverage control; gift of samples by licensees.

S.B. 386 Alcoholic beverage; exception to tied house law.

Alcoholic beverage control; tied house; exceptions. Provides an exception to the tied house law to permit a race car facility to receive corporate sponsorship from breweries, wineries, and distillers for race events as long as the sponsoring brewery, winery, or distiller does not require that the products of competing breweries, wineries, or distilleries be excluded from being sold at the facility.

S.B. 396 Alcoholic beverages; certain exemption in home of another for underage.

Alcoholic beverage control; exemption from licensure; service to guests in private residences. Provides that alcoholic beverages may be served or given to guests without a license by any person who keeps and possesses lawfully acquired alcoholic beverages in his residence, his family or servants, provided such guests are 21 years of age or older or are accompanied by a parent, guardian, or spouse who is 21 years of age or older.
