Commending Hinge, a graphic design and branding company.

WHEREAS, founded in 2002, Hinge is a graphic design and branding company which specializes in creating and building memorable brands in the marketplace; and

WHEREAS, Hinge dedicates five percent of its resources to donations as well as to pro bono and volunteer work; and

WHEREAS, during 2005, Hinge supported many local organizations by providing more than $150,000 in donations and 1,000 hours in pro bono services; and

WHEREAS, these organizations included Reston Interfaith, Brain Injury Services, the Washington Boys and Girls Clubs, Friends of Reston, and the Fairfax County Park Foundation; and

WHEREAS, Hinge is consistently listed among the Top 20 in Washington Business Journal's Circle of Community Investors; and

WHEREAS, Hinge has also greatly benefited the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce with in-kind services to the Chamber, including a branding campaign and logo, and was named by the Chamber as Small Business of the Year for 2005 in its Best of Reston awards; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Hinge for its dedication to serving its community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Hinge as an expression of the General Assembly's appreciation for its community service activities.
