065781792WHEREAS, Doyle Rasnick, the owner of Clinch Valley Printing in North Tazewell, was inducted into the Virginia Printing Foundation Hall of Fame on January 27, 2006; and
WHEREAS, a successful printer and well-known figure in the Tazewell community, Doyle Rasnick was honored at a ceremony in Williamsburg attended by hundreds of printers from across the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, earning membership in the Virginia Printing Foundation Hall of Fame is a rare honor, and Doyle Rasnick joins a select group of approximately three dozen printers who have been so honored by their peers in the printing industry over the past half-century; and
WHEREAS, a member of the Printing Industry of Virginia board of directors, Doyle Rasnick currently serves as chairman of its political action committee; and
WHEREAS, Doyle Rasnick is widely admired in Tazewell for his dedication to his customers and for his work with printing students at the Scott County Vocational Center; and
WHEREAS, by virtue of his significant contributions to the printing industry and to his community, Doyle Rasnick is a worthy recipient of this prestigious distinction; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Doyle Rasnick on his induction into the Virginia Printing Foundation Hall of Fame; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Doyle Rasnick as an expression of the General Assembly's congratulations and appreciation for his notable professional achievements.
