066653782Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That the counties of Shenandoah, Page, Warren, and Rappahannock are hereby exempt from the provisions of Item 416 B of the general appropriations act of 2004-2006, Chapter 4 of the Acts of Assembly 2004, Special Session 1, and any similar provision enacted in the future, relating to funding of regional jails. Pursuant to the provisions of § 53.1-82.3 of the Code of Virginia, the counties of Shenandoah, Page, Warren, and Rappahannock may submit to the Governor on or before March 1, 2007, the required community-based corrections plan and specifications, including detailed cost estimates and financing costs of any facility construction.
