WHEREAS, Kelsey Pedigo, of the Tidewater Academy Lady Warriors, recently set a new school basketball record; and
WHEREAS, Kelsey Pedigo scored over 1,000 points and became the school's leading female scorer in basketball and the second leading scorer in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference; and
WHEREAS, Kelsey Pedigo, the only senior on her team, is a true team player with superb athletic skill and technique; and
WHEREAS, upon receiving the game ball for scoring her 1,000th point against Brunswick Academy, Kelsey Pedigo presented the ball to her father; and
WHEREAS, in addition to her athletic prowess, Kelsey Pedigo has been accepted to Longwood University where she plans to major in sports medicine; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Kelsey Pedigo on her basketball achievement; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Kelsey Pedigo as an expression of the General Assembly's congratulations and best wishes for continued success.
