Celebrating the life of Mark Sheridan Brennan, Jr.

WHEREAS, Mark Sheridan Brennan, Jr., of Henrico County, passed away suddenly on August 28, 2005; and

WHEREAS, throughout his brief but very full life, Mark Brennan was a loving son to his parents, Terri and Mark, and a loving brother to Mallory and Will; and

WHEREAS, Mark Brennan graduated from Pocahontas Middle School in Henrico County, where he was an exceptional student, was active in a variety of clubs and activities, was consistently recognized on the Honor Roll, and was a member of the Beta Club; and

WHEREAS, an accomplished athlete, Mark Brennan competed as a member of the Pocahontas Middle School tennis and wrestling teams and the Deep Run High School cross country team; and

WHEREAS, Mark Brennan was an avid outdoorsman and accomplished mariner who devoted many summers to the serious study of seamanship at Camp Seagull in North Carolina; and

WHEREAS, Mark Brennan served as a page to the House of Delegates during the 2004 General Assembly Session, where his quick wit, cheerful demeanor, and affable nature earned him the universal respect, admiration, and friendship of pages, staff, and members; and

WHEREAS, a young man of deep and abiding faith, Mark Brennan was active in the life and ministry of Christ Church Episcopal in Glen Allen; and

WHEREAS, the County of Henrico, the Commonwealth, and the nation have lost a promising young citizen and an outstanding young man in Mark Sheridan Brennan, Jr.; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly note with sadness the passing of an exceptional citizen of the Commonwealth, Mark Sheridan Brennan, Jr.; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Mark Sheridan Brennan, Jr., as an expression of the esteem in which his memory is held by the members of the General Assembly.
