HOUSE BILL NO. 1602 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee on Rules on February 8, 2006) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Oder) A BILL to amend and reenact § 2.2-3311 of the Code of Virginia, relating to day of recognition for early childhood and day-care providers and professionals.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That § 2.2-3311 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 2.2-3311. Day of recognition for early childhood and day-care providers and professionals.

The twenty-second day of October Friday before Mother's Day of each year shall be designated as a day of recognition for early childhood and day-care providers and professionals to acknowledge the contributions of and pay tribute to early childhood and day-care providers and professionals who serve the children of the Commonwealth.
