Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 19.2-302.1 as follows:

§ 19.2-302.1. Reimbursement for rewards.

After conviction, the court may require the defendant to reimburse any person or organization for any portion of a reward that was offered and paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the defendant.
