HOUSE BILL NO. 1128 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee on General Laws on February 7, 2006) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate Cline) A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 58.1-4013.1, relating to the State Lottery Department; payment for use of copyright material.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 58.1-4013.1 as follows:

§ 58.1-4013.1. Fees prohibited for use of copyrighted material.

The State Lottery Department shall not pay any fees in excess of $200,000 to any individual or entity for the use of copyrighted words, phrases, or any other material.
