SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Study; elimination of the tangible personal property tax on personal-use passenger cars, motorcycles, and pickup or panel trucks; report. Establishes a joint subcommittee to examine the most efficient and equitable way to eliminate the tangible personal property tax on the first $20,000 of value of personal-use passenger cars, motorcycles, and pickup or panel trucks. The joint subcommittee shall develop recommendations for eliminating the tax that will provide a replacement for the revenues estimated to be received by local governments.
