SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Special license plates; supporters of education and the public schools of Virginia; fees.  Authorizes the issuance of revenue-sharing special license plates to supporters of education and the public schools of Virginia. The annual surcharge for these plates would be $25, instead of the standard $10 for most other nonrevenue-sharing special license plates. For each set of plates issued (after the first 1,000 sets), $15 will go to the Virginia Department of Education to support its programs and activities. This bill has been incorporated into SB 884.
