SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Binding referendum in Wythe County on adoption of zoning ordinance. Provides that the Circuit Court of Wythe County shall order a referendum to be held on the question of whether the qualified voters desire the county to adopt a zoning ordinance for their magisterial district. The referendum shall be held at the time of the 2005 November general election. If a majority of the voters voting in the referendum in a particular magisterial district vote in favor of the zoning ordinance, the proposed zoning ordinance shall become effective on January 1, 2006, in that magisterial district.
