SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Local school boards and local governing bodies; construction contracts.  Encourages local school boards and local governing bodies, in cooperation with the Department of General Services, to recognize and incorporate the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System into state and local practices for the design and procurement of construction projects to the extent such concepts are feasible and reasonable for the particular project.
