SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Public Procurement Act; prohibited contracts; required contract provisions. Provides that no public body shall enter into any contract for services unless the contract provides that only persons who are not unauthorized workers under federal immigration law will perform the services under the contract or any subcontract of that contract. The bill further requires public bodies to include in their contracts provisions whereby contractors agree to hiring and subcontracting practices in conformity with the provisions of the section. The bill also provides for remedies in cases of violation.
