SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Elections; final testing of voting equipment before election. Requires testing to be done at least two weeks and no more than six weeks before the election and notice of the testing to be mailed at least five business days before the testing. The bill requires copies of the notice to be sent to the State Board of Elections and to the appropriate political party chairmen. The bill further requires local party chairs and candidates to furnish a letter designating their authorized representatives. The State Board is required to post a schedule of tests on its website for elections held on and after January 1, 2006.
