SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Voter registration applications; destruction of, or failure to mail or deliver, applications; instructions; other offenses; penalty. Requires the State Board of Elections, local electoral board, and general registrar to provide notice of the penalty (a Class 1 misdemeanor) for destruction of, or failure to mail or deliver, signed voter registration applications in any instructions given for voter registration drives or with distributions of multiple voter registration applications. The bill also makes it a Class 5 felony to solicit multiple registrations from one person or to falsify a registration application. This bill is identical to SB 923.
