SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Nonconventional sewage disposal systems; local authority; civil penalties. Authorizes localities to establish, by ordinance, a schedule of civil penalties for violations relating to the operation and maintenance of nonconventional sewage disposal systems. "Nonconventional sewage disposal system" means any Type II or Type III system, as defined in the Sewage Handling and Disposal Regulations 12 VAC 5-610-10 et seq., including holding tanks and residential discharging wastewater treatment systems.
