SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Leaving certain children unattended in motor vehicles prohibited; civil penalty. Provides that any parent or other adult person responsible for the care of a child less than six years old who leaves such child unattended in a motor vehicle shall be subject to a civil penalty of no more than $100. The bill also provides that a violation of the provision shall not be considered evidence of (i) negligence, (ii) contributory negligence, or (iii) assumption of the risk.
