SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Mopeds, etc. Amends the definition of "moped" to include devices powered by electric motors and allows local governments to regulate or prohibit operation of mopeds, electric power-assisted bicycles, trail-bikes, mini-bikes, go-carts, and motorized skateboards. The bill also extends to all local governments the power presently granted only to local governments in the Northern Virginia Planning District to prevent operation of any motorcycle, moped, electric power-assisted bicycle, trail-bike, mini-bike or go-cart within 500 feet of a residential district.
