SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Sheriff's sales; reimbursement of excess costs associated with disposal of manufactured home.  Authorizes the sheriff, pursuant to an action of ejectment or unlawful detainer and at the request of the owner of the property upon which the home is located, to move a manufactured home to a designated storage area.  Any excess costs relating to disposal of a manufactured home that remain after a sheriff's sale shall be paid by the owner of the property from which the home was removed. The sheriff may refuse to remove or dispose of a manufactured home until the owner of the real property pays to the sheriff the estimated removal and disposition costs.

SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Sheriff's sales; reimbursement of excess costs associated with disposal of manufactured home.  Provides that any excess costs relating to disposal of a manufactured home that remain after a sheriff's sale shall be paid by the owner of the property from which the home was removed. The sheriff may refuse to remove or dispose of a manufactured home until the owner of the real property pays to the sheriff the estimated removal and disposition costs. Subsequent to disposition, the sheriff shall reimburse the owner to the extent the actual cost is less than the estimated cost, or shall request additional payment to the extent the actual cost exceeds the estimated cost.
