SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Officers of elections; employment protections; penalty. Provides employment protections to officers of election similar to those enjoyed by jurors. The bill also provides that a person who serves for more than four hours as an officer shall not be required to start any work shift beginning after 5:00 p.m. on his day of service or before 3:00 a.m. on the following day. A violation by an employer is punishable as a Class 3 misdemeanor.
