SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Coercion of motor vehicle dealers. Prohibits motor vehicle manufacturers and distributors from requiring retail dealers to offer to sell or sell any extended service contract or extended maintenance plan offered, sold, backed by, or sponsored by the manufacturer or distributor. The bill also eliminates the Class 1 misdemeanor penalty for violation and provides for holding hearings at the request of aggrieved parties instead.
