059878300WHEREAS, current Virginia law does not allow the issuance of driver’s licenses to those without proof of legal presence in the United States; and
WHEREAS, some drivers on Virginia roads are unlicensed and do not currently qualify for licenses; and
WHEREAS, the state of Virginia would benefit in reducing the percentage of uninsured motorists and with safer roads; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission be directed to study the feasibility of establishing a new class of driver’s license for drivers without proof of legal presence in the United.
