2005 SESSION
WHEREAS, Tori Hall of Chesterfield County, a senior at Clover Hill High School, was named Miss Virginia Teen USA 2005 at the pageant held at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol; and
WHEREAS, Tori Hall competed against 33 other contestants in the Miss Virginia Teen USA competition and later competed in the Miss Teen USA pageant; and
WHEREAS, Tori Hall is a member of the varsity softball and cheering teams at Clover Hill High School and received the Varsity Softball Team Spirit Award; and
WHEREAS, Tori Hall has also been named the Clover Hill Science Student of the Year, a Physics Star, and placed first in a county-wide poetry program; and
WHEREAS, a member of numerous clubs at Clover Hill and in the community, Tori Hall has raised funds for the Boys and Girls Clubs Christmas Angels, has raised money for an overseas orphanage, and is active in youth ministries at Parkway Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, as Miss Virginia Teen USA, Tori Hall will pursue the organization's goals of raising awareness about and fighting breast and ovarian cancer, and her own goals of educating young people about the importance of making good life choices; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Tori Hall on becoming Miss Virginia Teen USA 2005 and on her exceptional academic, extracurricular, and community service accomplishments; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Tori Hall as an expression of the congratulations and best wishes of the General Assembly.
