Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  § 1. The Virginia Department of Transportation and the Commonwealth Transportation Board shall forthwith take all necessary steps to immediately revise the criteria used to decide which businesses qualify for participation in the Department's Integrated Directional Signing Program and the circumstances under which participating business are displaced by other business as follows:

Gas Category I criteria hours shall be changed from 16 hours per day, seven days per week to 24 hours per day, seven days per week; and

There shall be added to the Gas Category I a criteria of ready-made food 12 hours per day, seven days per week.

2.  That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
