2005 SESSION
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 28.2-106.1 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 28.2-106.1. Patrol and enforcement of federal safety zones and restricted areas.
Pursuant to authority provided in 33 U.S.C. § 1226 (B) (1)
46 U.S.C. § 70119, the Virginia Marine Police may patrol and enforce all
federal security zones and safety zones located within the tidal waters
of the Commonwealth, including but not limited to those security zones and safety
zones designated in 33 CFR Part 165.501 and 33 CFR Part 165.504 33
C.F.R. Part 165. Pursuant to authority provided in 33 U.S.C. § 1225, the
Virginia Marine Police may patrol and enforce all federal restricted areas
located within the tidal waters of the Commonwealth.
2. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
