2005 SESSION
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 18.2-194 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 18.2-194. Unauthorized possession of two or more signed credit cards or credit card numbers.
When a person, other than the cardholder or a person
authorized by him, possesses two or more credit cards which are signed or two
or more credit card numbers, such possession shall be prima facie evidence that
said cards or credit card numbers were obtained in violation of subdivision
(1) (b) of § 18.2-193 § 18.2-192.
2. That the provisions of this act may result in a net increase in periods of imprisonment or commitment. Pursuant to § 30-19.1:4, the estimated amount of the necessary appropriation cannot be determined for periods of imprisonment in state adult correctional facilities and $0 for periods of commitment to the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
