SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Sales and use tax exemptions. Eliminates most sales and use tax exemptions for public service corporations and reduces the state sales and use tax on food by one-half percent. The bill also dedicates remaining revenue savings (remaining after paying the cost of the reduction in sales tax on food) to paying a portion of various public safety items.
