SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Veterans Services. Clarifies that the Commissioner of the Department of Veterans Services shall report directly to the Governor and requires the Commissioner to establish an advisory board to assist in the administration of veterans care centers established in the Commonwealth. The bill also (i) increases the membership of the Board of Veterans Services from 17 to 19 by adding the Chairmen of the Board of Trustees of the Veterans Services Foundation and the Joint Leadership Council of Veterans Service Organizations and (ii) adds the Chairman of the Board of Veterans Services as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Veterans Services Foundation and the Joint Leadership Council of Veterans Service Organizations.
