SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Local consumer utility tax. Allows the local governing body of the Town of Iron Gate to impose the local consumer utility tax on mobile phones by adopting a local ordinance on or after July 1, 2004. While such town ordinance remains in effect, Alleghany County shall not impose the tax within the limits of the town.
SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Local consumer utility tax. Allows the local governing body of the Town of Iron Gate to impose the local consumer utility tax on mobile phones by adopting a local ordinance on or after July 1, 2004. While such town ordinance remains in effect, Alleghany County shall not impose the tax within the limits of the Town.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Local consumer utility tax. Allows the local governing body of the Town of Iron Gate to impose the local consumer utility tax on mobile phones by adopting a local ordinance on or after January 1, 2003, with an effective date on or after July 1, 2004. While such town ordinance remains in effect, Alleghany County shall not impose the tax within the limits of the Town.
