SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Property Owners' Association Act; access to association records. Provides that except for certain topics, draft minutes of the board of directors shall be open for inspection and copying (i) within 60 days from the conclusion of the meeting to which such minutes appertain or (ii) when such minutes are distributed to board members as part of an agenda package for the next meeting of the board of directors, whichever occurs first.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Property Owners' Association Act; access to association records. Conforms the Property Owners' Association Act to the Condominium Act as it relates to access to association records. In addition to current exemptions from release of association books and records, the bill allows an association to withhold examination or copying of association records to the extent they are drafts that have not been incorporated into the association's books and records.
