SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Line of Duty Act; definition of disabled employee. Amends the definition of "disabled employee" to include any individual who has become mentally or physically incapacitated on or after April 8, 1972, as a direct or proximate result of the performance of his duty. The health care claim payments for such disabled employee or his qualifying dependents will be retroactive to the first date of the disability or July 1, 2000, whichever is later.
