SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Safety belt system. Removes the provision that a citation for a violation of the seat belt law may not be issued unless the officer has another reason to stop the vehicle or arrest the driver; however, the officer is prohibited from searching or inspecting a vehicle, its contents, the driver or a passenger solely because of a violation of the seat belt law.
