SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Uniform Statewide Building Code; regulation of HVAC facilities. Provides that the Board of Housing and Community Development to promulgate regulations in accordance with the Administrative Process Act (§ 2.2-4000 et seq.) establishing standards for heating, ventilation, and airconditioning (HVAC) facilities in new, privately owned residential dwellings.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Uniform Statewide Building Code; regulation of heating facilities. Provides that in addition to those dwelling units or portions thereof that are rented or leased, regulations of the Board establishing standards for heating facilities in residential structures shall apply to the construction of new, privately owned residential dwellings for which a certificate of occupancy has been issued on or after January 1, 2005.
