SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Insurance; group accident and sickness insurance coverage for dependent children. Allows insurers, at the policyholder's election, to extend coverage under a group accident and sickness insurance policy to include any child of an insured group member, regardless of the child's age.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Insurance; group accident and sickness insurance coverage for dependent children. Provides insurers with the option, when mutually agreed upon by the insurer and the employer, to extend coverage under a group accident and sickness insurance policy to include a dependent child without regard to whether such child resides in the same household as the insured group member.
