Special license plates; retired law-enforcement officers. Authorizes the issuance of special license plates for retired sworn law-enforcement officers.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Special license plates; active and retired law-enforcement officers. Authorizes the issuance of special license plates for active and retired sworn law-enforcement officers. These plates would be issued free of charge and would not be subject to minimum application and minimum active plate requirements of § 46.2-725. The fee for issuance of these plates would be $1 in addition to the prescribed cost of state license plates. This is the same fee presently charged for issuance of special license plates for professional firefighters.
