2004 SESSION
042257420WHEREAS, on October 13, 1998, the Board of Supervisors of Charles City County endorsed Alternative 3 for the Virginia Route 5 Bikeway Project; and
WHEREAS, construction of Alternative 3 for the Virginia Route 5 Bikeway Project would provide for the widening of Route 5 to an 11-foot travel lane with a two-foot paved shoulder on both sides of the roadway; and
WHEREAS, the General Assembly concurs in the recommendations of the Charles City County Board of Supervisors concerning this project; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the Commonwealth Transportation Board be hereby memorialized to move with dispatch to ensure the prompt undertaking and timely completion of this important project; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to the Virginia Secretary of Transportation, the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner, and the other members of the Commonwealth Transportation Board that they may be apprised of the sense of the General Assembly in this matter.
