046656220WHEREAS, a lifelong resident of the South River District of Warren County, Stuart L. Rudacille retired from public service on December 31, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Stuart L. Rudacille joined the United States Army in 1952, was stationed with the occupational forces in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1954; and
WHEREAS, a farmer and businessman, Stuart L. Rudacille drove a school bus for the Warren County public schools for 32 years; and
WHEREAS, Stuart L. Rudacille was elected to the Warren County Board of Supervisors for a four-year term beginning January 1, 1984; and
WHEREAS, Stuart L. Rudacille served with distinction as chairman of the Warren County Board of Supervisors for two years beginning January 1, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the Warren County Board of Supervisors and Stuart L. Rudacille have a record of significant accomplishments, including the county landfill agreement with Page County, the construction of the Warren County transfer station, the adoption of county personnel policies and a pay and classification system; and
WHEREAS, Stuart L. Rudacille and the board implemented the county building program, improved the Warren County public schools, and adopted the 1997 Warren County Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, along with other members of the Board of Supervisors, Stuart L. Rudacille was instrumental in recruiting businesses to Warren County to increase the County's tax base; and
WHEREAS, a fiscally conservative steward of the County's resources, Stuart L. Rudacille is remembered as a supervisor who always considered the interests of the residents of the South River District and the interests of Warren County's employees; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Stuart L. Rudacille for his many years of outstanding leadership and service on behalf of the citizens of Warren County; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Stuart L. Rudacille as an expression of the appreciation and gratitude of the General Assembly.
