§ 22.1-79.4. School health report cards.

The Board of Education shall develop model guidelines for school health and fitness report cards, to be sent to parents of public school students annually. Such report cards shall set forth individual student health and fitness information, including, but not limited to, height and weight information and acceptable ranges for healthy living; suggested health and fitness activities; nutrition guidelines; and other related information designed to promote healthy behaviors among students.

Local school boards shall establish procedures for the annual issuance of such report cards to students enrolled in the division, consistent with the Board's guidelines. Such procedures shall include an evaluation process to assess subsequent individual student progress in response to such report card.
