Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-1992.4:1 as follows:

§ 46.2-1992.4:1. Designation as safety inspection station.

If a trailer dealer licensed under this chapter so requests, the Superintendent of State Police shall designate his business as an official inspection station as provided in § 46.2-1163 for the purpose of performing the inspections required by § 46.2-1992.32 on vehicles the dealer offers for sale. Inspection stations designated as provided in this section shall not be required or authorized to inspect any vehicles other than those offered for sale by the dealer.
