CHAPTER 116 An Act to amend and reenact § 8.01-356 of the Code of Virginia, relating to penalty for failure of juror to appear. [S 513] Approved March 15, 2004

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 8.01-356 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 8.01-356. Failure of juror to appear.

If any juror who has been given due notice to appear in court shall fail to do so without sufficient excuse, he shall be fined not less than $25 50 nor more than $100 200.
