Desalinization. Requests the Virginia Water Resources Research Center at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University to study desalinization as part of a strategy to meet Virginia's drinking water needs. The study will examine the costs and benefits of this technology and whether it would be cost-effective for those localities located near the ocean or a brackish water source to develop this technology.
