SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Housing; appointment of commissioners of regional housing authorities. Provides that where federal housing law requires the appointment of a Section 8 tenant as a commissioner, the commissioners of the regional housing authority shall appoint at least one but not more than two such commissioners. The executive director of the regional housing authority shall prepare a slate of eligible candidates for appointment for the commissioners' consideration. However, the appointing commissioners shall not be required to make appointments from such slate. This bill is identical to HB 1990.
