SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Memorializing Congress; American Community Survey. Urges the Congress of the United States to make a long-term commitment to fully fund the American Community Survey. The American Community Survey is an essential component of the Census Bureau's strategy for reengineering the 2010 decennial census. Full implementation of the American Community Survey is planned for 2003, pending Congressional funding. The American Community Survey will provide the same sort of data as the census long form, updated every year.
