SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Motorcycle dealers. Deems all-terrain vehicles and off-road motorcycles to be motorcycles for the purpose of Chapter 19.2 (Motorcycle Dealers) of Title 46.2 (Motor Vehicles) of the Code of Virginia. Dealers who sell only all-terrain vehicles or off-road motorcycles, however, are excluded from application of the chapter. Manufacturers of all-terrain vehicles and off-road motorcycles are exempted for licensure as motorcycle dealers. The bill also clarifies procedures to be followed in handling protests under the motorcycle dealer franchise law.
